USEFUL TIPS

BEFORE DEPARTURE TO RUSSIA

• try to get some Russian currency (rouble) for the good rate due in airport money changers exchange rate are very bad;
• install applicaton on your smartphone for local taxi service with eng. interface (yandex.taxi, uber, taxi-maxim, etc.);
• try to order taxi from airport to your hotel, cos on the spot you gonna pay triple price;

UPON ARRIVAL TO AIRPORT

• connect your phone to the free wi-fi especially to control of your taxi's order (if you did it);
• after the custom, at the arrival hall, buy local sim-card with 3GB internet package, at least ("Beeline" recommended);
• if you didn't get Russian currency in advance change a small amount just to pay for taxi;
• always remember, it's gonna be very difficult to communicate with Russians, but young generation can speak eng.;

MOSCOW KREMLIN

ARMORY CHAMBER
The Armoury Chamber, a treasure house, is a part of the Grand Kremlin Palace's complex. It is situated in the building constructed in 1851 by the famous architect Konstantin Ton.

CATHEDRAL SQUARE
There are a number of monuments of the architectural ensemble of the Cathedral Square, including the Assumption, Archangel and Annunciation cathedrals, the Church of Laying Our Lady's Holy Robe, the Patriarch's Palace with the Twelve Apostles' Church and the 'Ivan the Great' Bell Tower complex, as well as exhibition halls in the Assumption Belfry and Patriarch's Palace.

DIAMOND FUND
The Diamond Fund exhibition was opened in 1967 on the territory of the Moscow Kremlin. It is a subdivision of the Gokhran of Russia. Treasures of the Diamond Fund of the Russian Federation represent a collection of unique nuggets of precious metals and precious stones of historical and artistic value, as well as a collection of unique jewelry and other items made of precious metals and precious stones.
The Federal Government Institution "State Institution on Formation of the State Fund of Precious Metals and Precious Stones of the Russian Federation, Storage, Release and Use of Precious Metals and Precious Stones (Gokhran of Russia) under the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation” was established in accordance with the Russian Government Order No. 1646-p of September 30, 2010

TRETYAKOV GALLERY
An extensive museum complex. Masterpieces of Russian art of the 11th - early 20th century. This is a historical building, which housed the collection of the founder of the Gallery P.M.Tretyakov (since 1856).

The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts is a museum complex that is currently in possession of one of the largest world art collections from Ancient Egypt and Greece to our days.

The Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy is the largest exposition, museum and recreational complex in the world, one of the most popular public spaces of the capital city of Russia. Each year, it is visited by about 25 million people.
